Procrastinating doesn’t mean you are lazy or useless
Procrastination often isn’t about not caring. It is often about caring a lot: being afraid of doing it badly or being judged, facing something so big you can’t see where to begin, or simply being worn out already. Your mind keeps pushing it later to avoid that discomfort. The harder you are on yourself, the heavier the task gets, and the harder it is to start.
In the Morning Room, take only the smallest step
Outside the Morning Room the sky is slowly getting lighter, and no one is rushing you. Write the task on a bedside note, then break it into a first step so small it can’t fail, like just opening the file, writing one line or sending one reply, and fold it away so it stays only on your device. Then give yourself five minutes. Once that step is done, you have started for today. Things often feel less frightening once you begin. If the procrastination keeps coming from deep exhaustion or a low mood, or it is clearly affecting your studies, work or daily life, it may help to talk with someone you trust or a professional.
