A little left out

When you feel ignored or left out, it doesn’t mean you don’t matter

Maybe it was a message you sent to the group chat that nobody picked up. Maybe it was a photo of your friends together, without you, and no one had asked. Or maybe you shared something that mattered to you and got back only an “ok.” No one really did anything wrong, yet you quietly feel invisible, as if nothing would change if you weren’t there.

Feeling ignored really does hurt

Wanting to be seen and remembered is an ordinary, reasonable need. Feeling let down or hurt when you are left out, or even wondering whether you just aren’t interesting enough, doesn’t mean you are too sensitive. Often other people’s silence only means they were busy, didn’t notice, or didn’t know what to say, and it doesn’t mean you don’t matter. But before you know any of that, the hurt you feel deserves to be held gently too.

In the Seaside Loft, let yourself be heard once

The Seaside Loft never leaves you on read. Listen to the waves for a while, write the words nobody answered on a bedside note, then add the reply you wish you had heard, even if it comes from you. Fold it away, and it stays only on your device. If feeling left out follows you for a long time and leaves you lonely or finding it hard to be around people, it may help to talk with someone you trust or a professional.

No account, no name, and you can leave whenever you like.
