Feeling stuck

When you’ve been trying for so long but feel stuck in place, your effort isn’t wasted

You keep showing up every day, and you haven’t really slacked off: the job applications you sent, the plan you rewrote again and again, the habit you kept up for months. Yet when you look back, nothing seems to have changed. Everyone else is moving forward, and only you are standing still. You start to wonder whether you chose the wrong direction, or whether you just aren’t good enough.

Being stuck doesn’t mean you aren’t moving

A lot of change builds up slowly where no one can see it before it ever shows. Feeling like you are going in circles often comes from measuring yourself only by results, and forgetting to count what you learned, what you carried, and what you didn’t give up on along the way. Feeling stuck wears you down, but it doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough. It only means this is genuinely hard.

In the Morning Room, stop and catch your breath

In the Morning Room the sky brightens little by little, and no one asks how far you’ve gotten. Step out to the balcony and watch the sunrise for a while, or write down the thing that has felt like wasted effort lately on a bedside note, then add three small things you actually managed during this time, and fold it away so it stays only on your device. If feeling stuck lasts a long time and leaves you without energy or sleeping badly, it may help to talk with someone you trust or a professional.

No account, no name, and you can leave whenever you like.
